Curriculum Update

Spelling for the week:
Accountable words: with, that
Word Pattern: ch- (chat, chimp, lunches, etc) and th- (thin, thick, brother, etc)
Post-test on Friday

Math: We will continue comparing numbers to one another, as well as adding 1 more, 1 less, 10 more, and 10 less to a given number. We will use a 100's chart, a # line, and symbols (>,<,=) to do this.

Writing: We will continue to write poems this week based on objects, as well as use some familiar nursery rhymes and re-write words to the rhythm!

Reading: We will be talking about the important events in a book and practice re-telling the story using them. We will also talk about making predictions using context clues.

Science: We will conclude the Balance and Weighing Unit by weighing and comparing a few different types of food. Students will take an assessment towards the end of the week where they will put things in order from lightest to heaviest based on weight.
